CHELSEA have reportedly triggered Michael Olise’s release clause at Crystal Palace.
The deal would see the Blues pay the South London outfit £35million for the exciting winger.
Chelsea are believed to have activated Michael Olise’s £35million release clause[/caption]According to The Athletic, Chelsea are now expecting to complete the signing of the France Under-21 international after activating the clause.
Olise, 21, had also been linked with moves to Manchester City as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez and to a switch to Arsenal to provide competition for Bukayo Saka.
The deal would see Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly add another expensive star to the team since his arrival at the club last year.
So far the club have forked out £906.8million on talent including a British record fee of £115m for Moises Caicedo.
The Blues are also expected to complete the £50m signing of Southampton ace Romeo Lavia.
That combined with Olise’s fee would see the club’s spending reach £991.8m in the last year.
The Palace star has recently dropped a hint that a move it close as the removed all pictures of and mentions of his current club from his Instagram.
Olise joined Palace from Reading in 2021 for a £8m fee and has gone on to become one of the club’s crucial players.

Last season he won the club’s player’s player of the season award as well as the club’s goal of the season.
The creative winger shone throughout the campaign as he racked up 11 assists in the Premier League.
He is the first Palace player to have achieved the feat.
Olise did not feature in Palace’s opening-day win over Sheffield United as he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
