CRYSTAL PALACE star Michael Olise will miss the start of the season after suffering a hamstring injury with France.
The Eagles star suffered the knock while facing Norway at the Under-21 Euros in Romania on Sunday.
Olise collided with Norway goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson and was subbed off in the 65th minute, eight minutes after scoring what proved to be the winning goal.
It is a huge blow to Palace, with the 21-year-old having managed two goals and 11 assists last season.
Olise’s absence could be even more of an issue should Wilfried Zaha not sign a new deal at Selhurst Park.
Zaha’s current contract expires this week, with Palace having offered a club-record £200,000-a-week four-year deal.
The winger has interest from AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain as well as Lazio and is yet to make a final decision on his future.
SunSport revealed this week that the Eagles are considering Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma as a potential replacement for Zaha.
Olise joined Palace from Reading in 2021 and quickly rose to prominence.
The winger had trials at the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City during his youth.

He stood out for Palace towards the back end of last season.
Olise has amassed a total of six goals and 19 assists in 71 appearances across all competitions.
And it seems the forward will play an important role under manager Roy Hodgson, who will stay on this coming season.
